TECHNOLOGY
More effective management of an organization's knowledge
and intellectual capital resources is a potent source of sustainable competitive
advantage. Our latest book, Beyond Productivity, shows how leading companies are
leveraging knowledge, information technologies and human capital resources to create new
forms of competitive advantage. We can help you:
Define information needs, leverage
skills and capabilities, and identify needed technologies.
Leverage information technologies to
create and sustain competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Evaluate information requirements,
communications patterns and technology resources, recommending strategies to improve the
effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
What we have done for others (selected
examples):
Developed production management
software to perform scheduling, work center loading, labor and material cost tracking and
status reporting for leading manufacturer or armored vehicles. Reduced cycle times and
inventory levels and improved management visibility and control (1987).
Prepared multi-level policies and
procedures for major regional bank addressing mini-computer, micro-computer and
fourth-generation language requirements in response to OCC directives (1988).
Provided leadership and direction to
develop leading edge information systems architecture for national tax consulting firm.
Structured planning methodologies and CASE tools were employed to define and document
requirements, evaluate systems capabilities and performance, develop new architecture and
databases, specify hardware, software and applications requirements and develop
implementation plan (1991).
Directed multi-organization
research program designed to develop a better understanding of the effects of new
technologies on internal patterns of communications in organizations. (1997-1999)
