OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Effective operations management is rarely spectacular. Whether in manufacturing, sales or accounting operations, the fundamentals are the same...planning, processes, organization, motivation and discipline...doing a hundred different things correctly...day after day...without a hitch...on time, on budget, and under control.

We can help you:
Isolate problems, develop action plans and resolve difficulties with timely and practical solutions
Implement performance measurement systems that focus attention on top organizational priorities
Develop strategies, training and incentive plans that reinforce objectives and improve performance
Reduce working capital investments, shorten billing cycles, and improve collection of receivables

What we have done for others (selected examples):
Served as interim chief operating officer for government contractor involved in design, development and manufacture of passive towed-array sonar systems (1990)

Reviewed production operations of aircraft component supplier to address issues of late delivery, poor quality control, and inefficient use of labor. Developed and implemented action plans to address problems in procurement, inventory management, production scheduling, quality control, and engineering. (1988-1992)

Led two-year project to reengineer order entry, production scheduling and inventory management systems of construction equipment manufacturer. Redesigned systems and processes have improved production scheduling, reduced inventory requirements and improved order fill rates (1997-1999)
